Mid to Senior-level Associate Attorney Position

Position Overview:
We are seeking a mid- to senior-level Associate Attorney with 5 to 10 years of solid experience in Estate Planning, Special Needs Planning and/or Estate and Trust Administration or Probate Litigation. The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented attorney who thrives in a collaborative environment and demonstrates a high level of professionalism, client empathy, and technical expertise.

We anticipate the following types of matters to be handled at the firm:

  • Estate Planning
  • Special Needs Planning
  • Estate Administration
  • Probate and Trust Litigation
  • Probate, Conservatorships, Guardianships, and Special Needs Trusts
  • Petition Filings related to Special Needs Trusts

Responsibilities:

  • Administering trusts and estates, including probate proceedings, trust funding, and asset distribution
  • Preparing and reviewing fiduciary accountings and estate tax returns (Federal and State)
  • Drafting Complaints and Pleadings; including communication with Courts to effectuate filing
  • Drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives and special needs trusts, as required
  • Advising clients on tax planning strategies, wealth transfer, and charitable giving
  • Communicating effectively with clients, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, and financial institutions
  • Managing a caseload independently while collaborating with other attorneys and staff
  • Staying current on changes in estate, tax, and trust law

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active license in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania
  • 5–10 years of experience in either Estate Planning, Special Needs Planning, Trust & Estate Administration or Probate Litigation
  • Strong knowledge of tax law related to estates and trusts
  • Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and client-service abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
